Can my windshield be repaired instead of replaced?

Yes! If the damage is smaller than a toonie, not in the driver’s line of sight, and not near the edge of the windshield, we can repair it for free for customers with ICBC comprehensive insurance. If the damage is too large or in a critical area, a replacement is recommended for safety.

How long does it take to replace a windshield?

A standard windshield replacement takes less than two hours, including installation and curing time for the adhesive.

How long does it take to repair a windshield?

A windshield chip repair takes less than 30 minutes and helps prevent the damage from spreading.

Does my insurance cover windshield replacement?

Absolutely incredible service!
The leaking windshield on our 2002 Honda Civic needed replacing immediately. MD Auto Glass staff were so polite & friendly. They were able to replace the windshield quickly explaining the process along the way. The older model Honda had presented some issues, however the experienced technician made us feel confident with the install.

On a Saturday morning (Dec 13th) we came over the Golden Ears Bridge and an object flying from the other side of the bridge landed on our sunroof, shattering the glass. Grateful that our sun shade was closed as the shattered glass would have covered our whole interior!

Trying to find a collision repair place open on a Saturday in Maple Ridge was laughable. Nothing open on the weekends.

A call to MD Auto Glass was answered immediately. A certified ICBC glass repair shop, Amin said to come in and he would have us taken care of.

We pulled into their shop, we were invited to have coffee or tea while they vacuumed up the glass and got us sealed up to protect form the rain. That whole process took about 30 minutes.

A replacement glass panel was ordered right away, and luckily for us it was available locally.
On Monday morning we got the call that it had arrived and we brought the truck in for the work.

It was completed within a half hour of us arriving, and they even noticed a small chip in our windshield which they asked permission to fix.

We were very satisfied with the care and attention they gave us, knowing we had to travel back to the interior and try to beat the next weather system before the highways potentially got closed down again.

Thank Amin for the great work and getting us out on time!
